A collection of vintage Japanese ultra-portable computers. The focus is on hardware mods (SSD swaps, power supply hacks) and running modern or period-correct software on constrained hardware.

Fujitsu FMV-U8240
Japanese UMPC from 2007. Intel A110 800 MHz, 512 MB RAM. Original ZIF/CE hard drive replaced with a 128 GB mSATA SSD via two adapters. Windows XP + DragonFly BSD dual boot planned.

Sony VAIO VGN-P70H
Japanese ultra-portable from 2009. Intel Atom Z520 1.33 GHz, 2 GB RAM. mSATA SSD swap, USB-C PD power mod, CMOS battery replacement. Running Void Linux as a TTY-only machine.

The last and fastest of the original Libretto line (1998). Pentium MMX 233 MHz, 6.1" 640×480 screen. Iconic pocket-sized clamshell.
